Abstract

Funds are provided to perform the following tasks:- Task 1: Materials Design, Manufacture and Characterization- Task 2: Modeling of Complex Fluids- Task 3: High Reynolds Number Turbulent Flow over SLIPS- Task 4: Turbulent conditions for failure of SLIPS- Task 5: Turbulent heat transfer over SLIPS- Task 6: DNS of turbulent flow over SLIPS- Task 7: Towing tank experiments with a large flat plate coated with SLIPS SLIPPERY LIQUID-INFUSED POROUS SURFACES (SLIPS) FOR TURBULENT DRAG REDUCTION AT HIGH REYNOLDS NUMBER
