Direct Numerical Simulation of the Effects of Superhydrophobic

Abstract

Funds are provided to continue investigating the following areas in FY16: (1) More DNS simulation of spatially developing turbulent boundary layer over SHS.(2) Examine the effect of pattern-averaged turbulence statistics.(3) Examine the effects of distributed SHS with finite streamwise lengths.(4) Improve the parallelization of the current TBL DNS code for better scaling to use larger number of nodes.
