THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF N00014-14-1-0239 TREX13 Data Analysis/Modeling

Abstract

As leading performers in TREX13 post-test analysis, APL/UW will- Model each of the three terms in the SONAR equation: reverberation level (RL), Transmission Loss (TL), and Scattering Strength (SS), under different weather and geoacoustic conditions along the main reverberation track where environmental data are available.- Provide a physics basis for different environmental impacts onreverberation and its uncertainty.- Establish a definitive shallow water reverberation data base with TREX13acoustic and environmental data sets for future applications such asevaluation of SONAR performance and geoacoustic inversion.- Build an interactive tool incorporating all aspects of TREX13, includingexperimental design and layout, access of real data for differentcomponents of the SONAR equation, and modeling results.
