THIS GRANT IS A CONTINUATION OF N00014-12-1-0811 Physics and Cyber-enabled Manufacturing Process Control for Direct Digital Manufacturing of Metal Parts

Abstract

The approach is to move away from current statistically-based control to future model-based control. Control models will be developed taking into account variations in materials and structural geometry. Disruptions due to external factors such as material property, temperature, and dimensional variations will be included in the development of the control algorithms.
