Characterizing and filtering naturally occurring magnetohydrodynamic signatures in coastal oceanic flows

Abstract

Characterizing and filtering naturally occurring magnetohydrodynamic signatures in coastal oceanic flows An analytical research program is pursued. It aims to develop novel, physics-inspired approaches to EM signature extraction that are informed by field and experimental magnetohydrodynamic data. The proposed approach seeks to characterize and accurately describe naturally occurring EM signatures that accompany coastal oceanic flows, so that these may be differentiated from other signals of interest.
