UW Ship Operations, Maintenance, Repair and Upgrades - 2016 -2020
Abstract
The University of Washington proposes to operate oceanographic research vessels in support of Office of Naval Research (ONR) scientific research for the period 2016-2020. UW will operate two oceanographic research assets (Thompson and Barnes) using best professional practices to carry out our assigned sientific research cruises. To do so, UW will provide mariners and marine technicians to operate these vessels at sea, as well as shoreside administrative, logistical and technical support from our home port at the UW Marine Facility.
