Autonomous Seagliders and Moored Instrumentation for Persistent, 4D Observations under Arctic Sea Ice

Abstract

Funds are being provided under the DURIP program for the acquisition of equipment for naval research. Grant is to acquire necessary equipment to support the upcoming Stratified Ocean Dynamics in the Arctic research initiative sponsored by ONR. The equipment consists of four autonomous ocean gliders with special sensors and some equipment required to complete a mooring array that would be deployed in this experiment.
