DURIP: Universal Chip-scale mm-Wave and THz systems with Programmable Electromagnetic Fields for New Modalities in Sensing, Communication and Computation

Abstract

SOWFunds from DURIP program are provided to purchase various pieces of RF laboratory measurement equipment capable of working together at high frequency.ObjectiveThe objective of this DURIP award is to provide higher frequency measurement equipment to Dr Senguptas ONR funded work on high frequency transmitters.ApproachThe approach is to buy and install the specified equipment.Merit / RelevanceDr Sengupta s research on silicon array transmitters documents the utility of a new transmitter paridgm based on separating the driving currents in the plane from the eigenmodes of the antenna/amplifier structures in the plane. This equipment will support his research strongly.
