2016 Summer School on Large-scale Brain Modelling

Abstract

2016 Summer School on Large-scale Brain ModellingObjective: To communicate Navy interest and future needs with research community. To promote collaboration and dissemination of information through exchange of scientific ideas in nanotechnology.Approach: This scientific summer school will achieve its objective by incorporating invited lecturers, hands-on tutorials as well as scientific posters in the program.SOW: PI will provide coordination, administration and running of the 2016 Summer School on Large-scale Brain Modelling. The summer school will focus on training participants on the Nengo brain modeling software that was developed in the PI s lab.Merit and Relevance: Brain modeling is an important aspect of exploring energy-efficient nanoelectronic computing architecture. The Nengo brain modeling tool is the leading software platform that designed to run on the BrainStorm chip, currently being developed as part of the ONR Neuromorphics program.
