Ventura County Mechatronics, Aerospace and Robotics Center (MARC)
Abstract
ITPR#141963The Ventura County Mechatronics, Aerospace and Robotics Curriculum (MARC) willprovide opportunities for students throughout Ventura County to explore fundamental STEMdisciplines, beginning in middle school. Middle school science teachers and Naval STEMexperts will collaboratively develop middle school physical science units based on mechatronicsprinciples. In high school, students will attend MARC courses developed in conjunction withNavy STEM professionals, and a MARC lab for project-based study. Middle, high school, andpost-secondary faculty will attend a STEM-ersion summer program focused on mechatronicsapplications.
