Abstract
Funds are provided to Professor Stephen Davis from Northwestern University, in the amount of $20,000.00 as the first increment of a 4 months grant (that expands on a previous NAVRIS grant N000141410697 that ends on August 31, 2016) for the investigations of the ~The Dynamics of Nanowire Growth~. Some of the activities to be performed under this grant include: Generalization of CNT model to include carbon transport in the catalyst; and Exploration of parameter space to seek optimal process for growing long, defect CNTs.
