Barnacles and Expertise for Antifouling, Foul Release and Adhesion Research
Abstract
The PI will develop and use methods to raise barnacle cyprids for laboratory studies and assays. They will provide on an as needed basisthese barnacle larvae to other PIs in the ONR program for use in their labs. They will also interact and collaborate with material scientistsin the design and interpretation of experiments to understand the interation, settlement and adhesion of barnacles to surfaces.
