Structured Sparse and Low-Rank Representations for Multimodal Recognition
Abstract
We propose to develop structured representation-based approaches for multimodal recognition by taking the advantage of highly-correlated mutual information from multiple different sensors recording the same physical event. In particular, this project will develop astructured metric learning technique, structured sparse and structured low-rank techniques for multimodal data fusion and structured analysis dictionary leaning models for processing multimodal heterogeneous data. The electiveness of the proposed methods will be evaluatedon biometrics recognition, active authentication and activity recognition problems.
