Target Scattering Metrics: Model-Model and Model-Data comparisons

Abstract

The proposed effort to complete an investigation into metrics for model-model and modeldata comparisons is composed from 3 specific tasks. Task 1: the scattered signals from 25 targets deployed during TREX13 have been isolated and will be analyzed for structure in frequency and angle. Task 2: The cepstum will be extended to investigate additional structure observed in 2-D cross-correlation. Task 3: Additional processing steps will be investigated to include phase information when processing raw data. It is hypothesized that phase may provide additional classification metrics for elactic target responses. Metrics derived from this research will provide a means for quantitative comparisions of MCM data products derived from actual systems or simulations.
