Inherent Trade-offs in Multiagent Coordination

Abstract

The control of autonomous systems is a fundamental problem that arises in several applica-tion domains that are of extreme importance to the Navy. This proposal formally initiates astudy on the inherent trade-o -s in the control of such multiagent systems. The foundationalquestions addressed in this proposal could have profound impact on the Navy by establishingtheoretical limits on the achievable performance guarantees in multiagent systems where theindividual agents respond to partial and incomplete information.
