Continuation of the International Autonomous Surface Vehicle Student Competition
Abstract
The ASV Competition, or popularly named RoboBoat Student Competition sponsored by ONRand facilitated by AUVSI Foundation is an autonomous robotic competition where teams puttheirautonomous surface vehicle (ASV) through a marked navigation channel and series ofchallenges. The channel navigation task will demonstrate an ASV~s visual sensor and guidanceintegration, speed and ability to navigate a channel.The goal of the competition is to boost students~ interest in autonomous technology which couldpotentially inspire students to follow a naval career in the future.
