Abstract

We propose to expand our earlier integrative functions for the Earth System Prediction Capability (ESPC), using a suite of Navy Models (e.g., NavGEM, HYCOM) and the Community Earth System Model (CESM) in a set of component model swap experiments that are specifically designed to assess model Fidelity, understand the impact of structual differences on weather and climate variability, and computational performance
