Littoral Zone Acoustic Propagation
Abstract
This proposal describes a research effort by faculty of the Catholic University of America(CUA) and East Carolina University (ECU) that will develop a mid-range atmosphericsound propagation model for littoral environments. This model is intended to be usedfor predicting the detectability of Naval platforms by on-shore receivers. Additionally,this proposed work includes an experimental validation component.
