Fundamental Physics of Ferroelectrics Workshops

Abstract

This proposal requests funds to provide partial financial support to researchers who are invited to speak at Fundamental Physics of" Ferroelectrics and Related Materials Workshops in 2018, 2019, and 2020. These funds help attract leading researchers and helpbuild"" fundamental advances in this field important for US Navy operations including SONAR, hydrophones, medical ultrasound, and energy. T"he international prestige of this series of workshops and the quality of the research presented depends primarily on itsability to" attract the world~s best theorists and xperimentalists working in the fields of dielectrics, ferroelectrics, and multiferroics. Fin"ancial support from ONR will significantly help the organizers to attract leading scientists who would otherwise be unable to attend.
