CY2017 ONR Ship Support RV Hugh Sharp
Abstract
The R/V Hugh R Sharp (Sharp) provides direct field support to the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and Naval Research Lab (NRL) funded science programs, the merit of these programs being determined by these agencies. The ship is requested by ONR/NRL supported researchers to serve as a platform for their research. In 2016, the ONR funded 10 days (6%) of the ship days on the Sharp. In 2017, 86 days are scheduled and proposed to be funded by ONR/NRL, consisting of 48% of the ship days scheduled for the Sharp.
