Energy Efficient Environmentally Compliant Unmanned Surface Vessels

Abstract

The PI will conduct research into understanding, advancing and developing technologies for autonomous surface navigation including autonomous obstacle identification and avoidance, automated docking, detailed surface obstacle scanning and identification, and subsurface scanning and identification. This effort focuses on applying increases in USV capability and autonomy, and evaluating the influence on total system performance.
