A leveraged acoustic measurement effort in support of the ONR Inner Shelf Dynamics Direct Research Initiative
Abstract
To characterize sound propagation on the inner shelf, we propose to develop a low-cost acoustic measurement platform to supplement p""hysical oceanographic measurements during the ONR Inner Shelf DRI at off Vandenberg Air Force Base, in the fall of 2017. The ensuin""g study will help improve understanding of high-frequency, short-range acoustic propagation.
