Reconfigurable Multiband Metasurfaces and Devices with Atomic-Layer Materials

Abstract

Reconfigurable Multiband Metasurfaces and Devices with Atomic-Layer MaterialsReconfigurable Multiband Metasurfaces and Devices with Atomic-Layer MaterialsYuebing Zheng (PI) at The University of Texas at Austin proposes to develop a new class ofreconfigurable multiband metasurfaces and devices (i.e., photodetectors, modulators and sensors)using atomic-layer materials with moir~ patterns and to elucidate working principles of thedevices. With their superior performances, the devices will have enormous impacts on continuedNaval spectrum dominance and warfighter protection. $509,937 is requested for performanceperiod of 6/1/2017 ~ 5/31/2020.
