16 MAR 2017Multi-Domain Approach to Increased USV Capability for Future Naval MissionsTask 1 ~ Investigate use of acoustic signals generated by the vessel~s propulsion mechanism as a means of communications with underwater vehicles operating in a noisy environment. Task 2 ~ Conduct USV perception research which allow monitoring systems to understand the USVs situation and intent.Task 3 ~ Investigate hybrid power systems that provide propulsion and utility power extending ranges and mission duration.
