ONR MURI Project on Soil Blast Modeling and Simulation: Continuation Research Proposal

Abstract

The primary research objective of this continuation proposal is to bring to fruition the overall project (integrated effort in Task 9 of the original proposal: multiscale multiphase computational modeling applied to simulating centrifuge validation blast experime"nts), as well as to provide the codes developed, and other experimental methods and results, in a form more easily transferred to in""terested Department of Defense (DoD) researchers, such as at the Naval Research Laboratory(NRL), Army Research Laboratory (ARL), Ar""my Corps of Engineers Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL), and the Air F"orce Research Laboratory (AFRL).
