An Electrochemical Sense and Respond Osseointegrated Prosthesis 2

Abstract

The overarching goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive, electrochemically-~~based, infectioncontrol strategy for osseoi""ntegrated prosthetic limbs. Thisproject will be focused on four clinically relevant scenarios: infection detection, infection eradi""cation, infection prevention, and enhanced osseointegration. This project also seeks to develop an implantable device capable of del"ivering electrical stimulation and sensing of electrochemical parameters related to implant associated infections.
