Data Assililation and Diagnostics of Inner Shelf Dynamics

Abstract

The modeling-team wil continue to provide support to the field campaign by running selcted model simulations and sensitivity experiments in the preparation of the in-situ experiment. We will also work with the observational tem following the field campaign to begin diagnostic analyses of the observed circulation features. The modeling team is currently organizing the infrastructure to run an experimental forecast for the Fall 2017 field campaign. We plan to execute the forecast in almost real time and make it available to the field teams to better interpret the flux of data and the inform with areal component of the sampling. The modeling team will attempt a dry-run using data from the Fall of 2009
