Further studies of using digital volumetric speckle photography to map interior deformation of composites.

Abstract

Conduct research to establish the capability to determine 3D internal deformations, strains, and damage in solids under load: -Exte"nd the Digital Volumetric Speckle Photography (DVSP) technique for 3D strain analysis of opaque solids-Apply to composite materials", composite beams and plates, under stress states-Develop capability to determine internal deformations, and strains, in 3D -Devel"op capability to assess evolution of damage in composites and composite sandwich structures-Explore validity of modeling techniques to establish internal 3D damage states in composites.
