13th International Conference on Computational and Theoretical Acoustics, Vienna 2017
Abstract
The International Conference on Theoretical and Computational Acoustics(ICTCA) is a US-based organization, founded in 1992 by late" Dr. Ding Lee ofNaval Underwater Systems Center. The ICTCA~s purpose is to promote scientificwork and international cooperation in" all areas of acoustics, which are amongbasic principles of engineering sciences, and hold an international conferenceevery two ye"ars. Twelve conferences have been held to date.The 13th International Conference on Theoretical and Computational Acoustics(ICTCA2"017) will be held from July 30st to August 3rd, 2017, at the ViennaUniversity of Technology, Vienna, Austria. It will be a forum fo""r active researchersfrom different areas of science related to acoustics, seismics, and wavepropagation in general, to discuss sta"te-of-the-art developments and results intheir research areas and also to stimulate future research work.There will be the ~Student Paper Competition.~ Up to four students presentingpapers will be selected to receive an award of USD $500 each. Selection of thes"erecipients will be based on the feedbacks from audiences, and final decisions willbe made by a special committee.Around 230 (inv"ited and contributed) papers and 6 keynote lectures delivered atthe ICTCA2017 will stimulate discussions that will foster research" in differentareas of acoustics, seismics, and wave propagation in general.There will be published the Program & Book of Abstracts" with an ISBN number.The conference proceedings will be not published; instead the authors will beencouraged to convert their pres"entations into manuscripts of full-length researchpapers, and the Journal of Computational Acoustics (JCA) will be accepting suchm"anuscripts for Special Issues on topics specified by the Guest Editors. Subjectsof published papers will be of interest to the ONRG", thus funding support for theICTCA2017 is kindly requested.
