Abstract

Title: Partial support for Graphene Week 2017Objective: To communicate Navy interest and future needs with research community. To train future workforce in technical areas that are vital to DoD andthe Navy.Approach: Graphene Week 2017 will achieve its scient"ific/educational objective by incorporating keynote speakers, as well as invited and contributed presentations, to facilitate exchan""ge of scientific ideas. Statement of Work: PI will organize the conference. Identify and invite speakers and presenters, ensure sm""ooth running of the conference, as well as financial management of the conference expenses. The overallactivities of the conference" will promote collaboration and dissemination of information through exchange of scientific ideas in forefront of grapheme research. ONR relevance: Graphene has been one of the cornerstones of the ONR nanoelectronics program for over a decade. Graphene and its d"erivative materials have great potential to provide highly power-efficientcomputing solutions for future military platforms, e.g. a"utonomous systems. Graphene Week 2017 will be animportant venue where futures needs of DoD can be effectively communicated.
