Mid-Frequency Ocean Acoustics
Abstract
A combination of theory, simulation, and experimental data analysis will be performed to study the mid-frequency regime of ocean aco"ustics in deep and shallow water. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the impact of a fluctuating oceanographic environment on the ability to separate signal from noise as well as to use noise alone to extract ocean environmental information.
