Detecting Weak Magnetic Signals in a Noisy Environment

Abstract

The goal of this effort is to design a methodology to identify and detect weak magnetic signals embedded in noisy data. Our approach is based on employing several nonlinear identification mechanisms including: (a) designing a nonlinear processor that is capable of identifying and characterizing a weak signal embedded in noisy data and (b) resonant amplification of incoming signals. We aim to d"etect signals that would not otherwise be detected by current ""conventional"" signal processing methodology..
