Mathematical Certification of Mission Success Robustness for Multi-Agent Dynamic Group Action Models with Imperfect Perception

Abstract

The proposed research will develop novel scalable optimization-basedapproaches to mathematical certification of robustness of mission success for avariety of multi-agent dynamic group action algorithms, with respect to severalmodels of perception limitations and adversarial capabilities. The behavioralguarantees will be established through dynamical system invariants(generalizations of Lyapunov and storage functions), constructed by optimizinglinear combinations of special basis elements. In particular, robustness withrespect to imperfect perception (e.g., intermittent failure of machine visionsubroutines, sensor outages) will be addressed.
