National Dissemination of the CUSP Electric Power Curriculum

Abstract

SWSWe are proposing to offer the entire collection of courses that has been developed under theCUSPTM initiative through the worldwide eLearning division of Texas Tech University. These courses havebeen developed under the vision and leadership of Prof. Ned Mohan at the University of Minnesota bythe nation???s leading experts including 7 members of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and arethe most comprehensive collection of courses in the country in the field of Power/Energy Systems withan emphasis on sustainability. No single University program covers the breadth and depth of the contentin the CUSPTM courses. We plan to offer these courses for practicing engineers and students seekinggraduate credit for ongoing Engineering studies. We are also planning to update the courses and add newones to keep the material technically current. This is a tremendous resource for workforce developmentin DoD and in the civilian world in this field that is crucial to ensuring sustainable power for manygenerations to come.
