Robust Co-Prime Sensing with Underwater Inflatable Passive Sonar Arrays

Abstract

The overarching goal of the proposed work is to develop a transformative approach for enabling an underwater deployable sensor network (UDSN). To this end, we propose to develop a prototype with associated signal processing capabilities to demonstrate the feasibility of the UDSN concept. An innovative underwater inflatable vertical co-prime sonar array structure and associated signal processing algorithms that are optimized for the considered deployment form the foundations of the proposed approach.
