Reconfigurable Dynamic Measurement System for Adaptive RF to Millimeter-Wave Circuits

Abstract

University of COL will purchase and install an instrumentation system for dynamic measurement of reconfigurable RF to millimeter-wave (mm-wave) circuits. The objective of this DURIP is to provide an instrumentation system for dynamic measurement of reconfigurable RF to millimeter-wave (mm-wave) circuits. The proposed system will be centered around the ability to generate two 20 GHz modulated RFchannels and four 2 GHz baseband modulated signals, while performing vector network analysis and vector signal analysis at frequencies up to 67 GHz. In addition, the proposed instrumentation includes four coherent phase- and amplitude controlled continuous wave (CW) sources up to 67 GHz. This feature of the vector network analyzer will enable true differential measurements, characterization of phased arrays, and an active load pull test bench for nonlinear characterization.
