Development of Low Fouling/High Fouling-release and Self-polishing Nonfouling Marine Coatings
Abstract
The objective of this work is focused on the development of environmentally benign low fouling/high fouling-release marine coatings and self-polishing nonfouling marine coatings. These two coatings are designed to meet four criteria for practical applications: scalability for large-scale production, high effectiveness, low cost, and environmental friendliness. Coating formulations will be optimized and subsequently evaluated in laboratory and field tests.
