Grant Proposal to Support Student Travel to the 2019 IEEE Pulsed Power and Plasma Science Conference (PPPS)

Abstract

Grant Proposal to Support Student Travel to the 2019 IEEE Pulsed Power and Plasma Science Conference (PPPS)The IEEE Pulsed Power and Plasma Science Conference (PPPS) is a conference sponsored by the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS) that is held every six years under this name. It is the collaboration of the IEEE Pulsed Power Conference (PPC), a biannually held conference, and the IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS), an annually held event. The PPC is the premier conference for engineers, researchers, technical managers, and students to meet and discuss the latest developments in the pulsed power field while ICOPS is the premier conference for topics related to plasma science. Topics covered in the PPPS range from power electronics and their use in novel prime power and system topologies to energetic beams, highenergy density plasmas, and high power microwave sources and their applications, to low temperature plasmas for industrial and medical applications. These developing technologies are of direct interest to Academia, industry and government labs, as well as NSF, DOE, DOD, NIH and many other agencies. This year~s PPPS will be hosted at the DoubleTree in Orlando, Floridafrom June 23 ~ 28, 2019. This grant will be used only to support student travel to the conference.
