Revolutionary Continuous Wave Deep UV Laser for Linear Explosives Sensing and Simplified Spectroscopies
Abstract
The University will purchase a continuous wave (CW) laser recently commercialized by the company M Squared. The CW laser will advan"ce work the university is doing for ONR to develop spectral methodologies for the detection of trace explosives and a novel deep ultraviolet (UV) photoacoustic explosives detection methodology. The new CW deep UV laser will be used to advance the ONR-funded spectroscopy efforts at the university. It will allow graduate students, postdocs and scientists to conceptually and experimentally simpl"ify the spectral methods.
