PHOTOACOUSTIC INTERACTIONS USING HIGHER ORDER BESSEL BEAMS INTEGRATED IN TIME AND SPACE (HOBBITS)

Abstract

PHOTOACOUSTIC INTERACTIONS USING HIGHER ORDER BESSEL BEAMS INTEGRATED IN TIME AND SPACE (HOBBITS). The performers will develop and exploit the dynamic spatiotemporal control of a HOBBIT system combined with the microbubble cavitation to engineer arbitrary acoustic fields in the underwater environment. In order to fully exploit this unique phenomena, the following tasks must be performed to understand the basic limitations of the process and how it can be scaled using different spectral regimes, and spatiotemporal time scales. The following tasks will be performed:Task 1: HOBBIT System DesignTask 2: Photoacoustic Modeling of laser water interactionTask 3: Complete System Integration HOBBIT System Design
