Abstract

NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF MICROBIOME CENTERS1.0 Scope.The contractor will organize and execute a one and a half day workshop that brings together theleadership and junior members of microbiome centers and initiatives across the country.2.0 Requirements.The contractor will organize and execute the proposed conference. Specifically, the contractorwill:1. invite speakers and attendees2. plan the conference agenda and program3. execute the conference4. reimburse travel for speakers5. publish a conference report.3.0 Deliverables.The contractor will deliver quarterly progress reports (technical and financial) and a final report. The University of Chicago submits this proposal with the understanding that it isunclassified, fundamental research as defined by the Export Control regulations. As such there should be no limitation on the freedom to publish research results or restrictions on the citizenship or national origin of those performing the research. Further, a determination of fundamental research by the Contracting Officer for this proposed scope of work is necessary prior to execution by the University of any resulting award containing DFAR 252.204-70000, or any other agency clause restricting the disclosure of information or freedom to publish. It is understood that any developmental items and specially designed parts, components, accessories and attachments generated under this Defense Department agreement are beingdeveloped for both civil and military applications.
