Support for the 2020 North American meeting of the International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology
Abstract
We are requesting partial funding ($10,000) for the 2020 North American meeting of the International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology (ISMET). This meeting will be held November 18-20, 2020 at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. ISMET is an international organization dedicated to linking and training researchers from across the science and engineering disciplines for understanding the complex redox interactions of microorganisms and abiotic surfaces (microbial electrochemistry), while exploiting this understanding for the development of energy, sustainability, health, and bioelectronic solutions. While participant registration fees will be used to cover a significant portion of the meeting costs, the partial funding requested here will help us fund travel for invited speakers, sponsored speakers, students, postdoctoral scholars and early career faculty.
