Advanced Non-Toxic Antifouling Coatings Research Test Site Facility
Abstract
The proposed effort responds to the ONR objectives of developing advanced non-toxic antifouling coatings for ships, submarines, sonar domes and seawater piping and to pursue scientific studies to understand how biofouling organisms respond to different surfaces and to different environmental and operating conditions. This proposal includes the operation and maintenance of two static and two dynamic test facilities from which coatings and surfaces are subject to biofouling.
