Lasing in Air for Non-Line of Sight Illumination

Abstract

The research proposed here is directed toward the development of control methods for amplifying and steering the air lasing, with a particular focus on around thecorner illumination. The research proposed here is directed toward the development of control methods for amplifying and steering the air lasing, with a particular focus on around the corner illumination. For these applications controlling the direction of the air lasing and achieving good repeatability and high efficiency are critical. The work will concentrate on the use of naturally present noble gases in the atmosphere including argon and krypton.
