Advancing PCoD Efforts Through a Marine Mammal Bioenergetics Workshop

Abstract

Advancing PCoD Efforts Through a Marine Mammal Bioenergetics Workshop. This project serves to review the current state of knowledge of both modelling (building on Pirotta et al, 2018a) and data needs to fuel such nergetic models. This will be achieved via a series of mini-reviews of key bioenergetic topics and a face-to-face workshop with leading experts. Expected outcomes are a review of the current understanding of energetic needs of marine mammals, identification of the most important knowledge gaps and future recommendations for how to support PCoD assessments via improved models and the best data inputs.
