Signal Processing for Magnetometer-based Deep Detection of Unexploded Ordnance

Abstract

The goal of this research is to develop algorithms that can effectively detect deeply buried unexploded ordnance (UXO) using novel magnetometer sensing modalities. We will leverage our prior work in which we successfully detected UXO buried less than 6 feet using magnetometer data. Algorithms/code will be provided in order to assess performance of the sensor data in 2 blind tests.
