Assessment and Elicitation of Intent
Abstract
We propose to augment human judgment with tools that assist with detection and classification of intention. In addition, we propose to develop a recommender system that assists a human decision maker in response selection with the goal of choosing a response that elicits diagnostic feedback regarding intention.Specifically, we propose to investigate the use of AI to assist human decision makers with two challenges:1. Classifying intention: Among all the actors in my vicinity, which ones warrant my attention?2. Eliciting intention: What actions can I take now that will provoke a response from some actorthat will provide diagnostic evidence of their intention?
