Exploring Real-Time Hybrid Substructuring (RTHS) to Enhance Naval Research

Abstract

Exploring Real-Time Hybrid Substructuring (RTHS) to Enhance Naval Research. This project will identify active researchers in the Naval Research community and explore opportunities to conduct RTHS tests to more rapidly advance their proposed technologies and techniques. Of particular interest are the current challenges in RTHS that must be addressed for other researcher programs to benefit from the promise of RTHS. Examples of relevant RTHS experiments will be documented and specific current capabilities and necessary advancements in RTHS identified. The successful completion on this project will lead to increased use of RTHS for marine structure applications and the more rapid advancement of innovative technology to the Navy.
