Abstract

Funds are provided to establish an incremental sheet metal forming pilot cell, a wire-arc metal additive manufacturing pilot cell, and to re-establish a series of rapid manufacturing technology development and demonstration projects.Technical POC: Dr. William M. Mullins, william.m.mullins@navy.milThis project addresses directly the PE 0603680D8Z objectives for executing the Defense-wide Manufacturing Science and Technology (DMS&T) program to build and support a healthy defense industrial base to increase the speed of innovation and provide frequent technology off-ramp opportunities, turning inventions and scientific discoveries into actual equipment and capabilities, for the warfighter as quickly and affordably as possible. In specific, this activity supports the P350 supporting the DoD Manufacturing USA Institutes.
