Support of Seabed21+ Operations and Analysis of Data Collected for Sediment Characterization

Abstract

The Seabed Characterization Experiment 2021+ (SBCEX21+) is a multidisciplinary effort to characterize the fine-grained sediment found in the New England Mudpatch and in locations further south on the New England Shelf. ARL:UT is involved in deploying a number of systems during SBCEX21+ that both directly and indirectly characterize the acoustic properties of the seabed at the experimental site. The present proposal will augment SBCEX21+ with two graduate students tasked with preparing for, participating in, and analyzing data from SBCEX21+.
